Vice Presidential spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez says that Vice President Leni Robredo is helping coordinate the relief from the US for victim’s of Typhoon “Nina” (international name: Nock-Ten) in the Bicol Region.

The Office of the Vice President dispatched a team to the affected areas as relief supplies are being collected.

Robredo tweeted that a relief operations center would be set up in the city. The Vice President hails from Naga City at the heart of the Bicol peninsula.

Funding for the relief operations came from donations from private partners that are being coursed through the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership according to the head of Robredo’s communication and media team, Boom Enriquez.

Robredo’s office is also coordinating with Angat Buhay partners and other private sector groups for food and non-food items that can be transported to Bicol. “Taskforce Tindog Bikol” relief operations are providing help to those affected by typhoon “Nina”.
